Tower Grove Park Family Session

All my sessions are special, but this Tower Grove Park family session was extra special. Hannah and I met at an orientation for a job we were both just starting in 2019. Something about her stood out to me, like I knew she was going to be a part of my life somehow. So I ended up talking to her and we found out that we were both going to work in the same department. From there, we ended up being work besties. We worked together on every project and waded through a difficult work environment together. Many times we were each others support system. I mean you don’t go through that without developing a pretty solid friendship! 5 years later and our babies go to the same daycare and we are still good friends!

Anyway, I’m getting off topic…where were we? Oh yea, Tower Grove Park family session! So they showed up in the most adorable, coordinated outfits and I knew it was going to be a beautiful session. The greens and cream tones they were wearing matched so well to the surrounding trees. As I was editing these pictures I was internally squealing with joy and I’ll tell you why. When I take pictures, I want them to make you feel something, and these images made me feel like I was transported to Anne of Green Gables land (Canada, as some call it, I think?). I hope they give you that same sense of exploration, joy in nature, and childhood wonder that they gave me!

For this session, we had to take a few breaks to let Isla pull up some grass and I’m so glad we always let the kid lead because we ended up getting some of the cutest pictures that way. My pictures philosophy is montessori style- we let the kid lead even if that means eating some clovers.

Thank you for reading! If you liked this session you should check out this one in Forest Park !

As always, please reach out to me here if you’re interested in me capturing your memories!
