Hermann Hill Weddings // Beth and JJ

Beth and JJ had the most beautiful Hermann Hill wedding this past weekend! Even though it was a cold January day, we didn’t let that stop the joy! I’ve never photographed a wedding at Hermann Hill before, and I was so impressed. You can do everything from getting ready to the reception at the venue, which to me, is such a huge stress relief for couples! The venue and grounds are also beautiful. We took portraits of Beth and JJ over a bluff and I swear as I was editing I thought to myself, “Are we in Missouri or the cliffs of Moher in Ireland??” Beth and JJ chose a beautiful light blue and purple for their colors and they were beautifully incorporated throughout their day (see the cake below)!

As a couple, Beth and JJ are the sweetest! She was so giggly the whole day and JJ makes her laugh all the time so it was a recipe for sweet, joyful pictures. They also beautifully incorporated pieces of what they love throughout their day! Their dog, Casey, was present for pictures and got to wander during the ceremony (and occasionally nap). They also are big board game fans so they had tables at their reception sectioned off for people to play all different types of board games, which was such a hit with their friends! I always tell my couples to make their day uniquely them because that is what will make you happy!

One of my favorite parts of the day was when Beth and JJ went to take a minute after their ceremony and they just both hugged and wiped away their tears together. To me, it’s all those little moments that make your wedding day especially memorable. Enjoy their images below and see all the amazing vendors who made this day possible!
