Melanie and Ryan found out about me through a previous client who had done maternity pictures with me so I knew they would be good people from the get go! They decided on a Demun Street engagement session and I loved that idea for them! These two showed up looking amazing and we got right to it walking around Demun and hitting up some gorgeous spots in the area! We made sure to pop by the place they first lived together as well as Kaldi’s since they both currently work there! We also walked around the grounds of Concordia Seminary and I was kicking myself for not walking around their sooner on the many times I’d been to Clementines on Demun! Who knew that little gem was tucked away there??
Besides being a gorgeous location, we had the best weather too! I know Spring time in St. Louis is a little crazy but we got lucky and have a beautiful glowy, sunny day! Towards the end of the session, I wanted to make sure we were capturing that beautiful glowy sunset light so we were running across the hill chasing the light and I’d say it was worth it!
I love taking the time to get to know my couples better during their engagement sessions. This is a time for them to learn my posing style, start to feel more confident in front of the camera and for me to get to know them better! Ryan and Melanie are perfect for each other. Melanie is a baker and Ryan is a carpenter and I love how they both have that creative streak in them that they express in different ways! Their wedding is going to be this November and I can’t wait for it! We’ll be shooting at the beautiful Grbic which is such a great venue. Keep on the lookout for those images!
