St. Louis Art Museum Wedding Pictures // John and Meri

When John reached out to me, he told me that they weren’t having a big reception or anything but that he and Meri still wanted to document this time in their lives, which I thought was awesome! We ended up creating some magic with these two. We started out in Forest Park and ended the night at Keiner Plaza in front of the arch and old courthouse. John and Meri specifically wanted St. Louis Art Museum wedding pictures as part of their session and I, of course, was happy to oblige. We started out at the world’s fair pavilion and I always forget how much I love those arches! They are so great for framing portraits of my couples. We then quickly went to the St. Louis Art Museum and captured some portraits there. Funnily enough, there was a yoga class going on in front of the grand basin, but we made it work and found some other spots to get their portraits! The sun was really showing off that evening and we had some beautiful dappled light.

One thing that stuck in my mind was how John told me many times that they had never had professional pictures done before and that they were nervous about getting them done. Even when they arrived, the first thing they told me was that they had practiced smiling in the car (so cute right?). CLEARLY though they rocked their session. As my couples know, I belive in giving clear directions so that you can look your cutest in your pictures! It’s my job to make you comfortable. Without further delay, check out a few of my favorites from John and Meri’s session below!

All my best,

Sara
