Alyssa and Kyle had the most beautiful Sheldon Concert Hall Wedding! These two are such kind, but more importantly HILARIOUS people. All day they were so chill and making jokes! It’s honestly like they have their own language of inside jokes.
Getting Ready
Their wedding day started by them getting ready with their closest friends. When I get to weddings I usually ask my couples how they’re doing and both Alyssa and Kyle responded with the most laid back “good!” I’ve heard! They were both just ready to get married and so happy to do it! Keep an eye out for Alyssa’s embroidered shoes, I am obsessed!!
First Look and Wedding Party Pictures
Then, we travelled to Lafayette Park to capture their first look, portraits and wedding party pictures. I love a good wedding party and their friends were so easy and fun to work with! We had the most beautiful Spring day too. I love the purple and peach colors they picked and they really popped against the green of the park. We then got a bunch of time (which of course flew by) to do portraits of Alyssa and Kyle around Lafayette Park and it was beautiful! They were game for anything I suggested which is always my favorite!!
Ceremony and Reception at the Sheldon Concert Hall
I’d never shot a wedding at the Sheldon Concert Hall before this and it was truly beautiful! As the name suggests, the Sheldon is a concert hall, but it doubles as a wedding venue in it’s spare time. Imagine getting ready in an intimate venue with almost church like vibes. Your audience is your people and they’re there to watch you celebrate your love! The thing I loved the most about the ceremony was the vows. Alyssa had beautiful and hilarious vows and we all expected Kyle to go down a similar path, BUT he wrote a powerful and loving spoked word piece that left everyone in awe.
The reception was in a beautiful hall with lights strung up on the beams and lots of room for dancing. They had beautiful speeches and good food but the real highlight was the music and the playlist! Alyssa and Kyle really value good music and you could tell they curated that playlist really well!
Overall, it was a beautiful day and I’m so glad to have been a part of it!
