Stone House of St. Charles Wedding // Alison and Ryan

Alison and Ryan had the most beaufitul Stone House of St. Charles Wedding! This was my first time shooting at this venue after wanting to for years and it did NOT disappoint! Beautiful getting ready spaces, grounds and a GORGEOUS stone building for the reception. These two were so chill and just so excited to get married and it was truly evident! They chose the most beautiful dusty red as one of their wedding colors that was the perfect nod to the beginning of fall. Read on to see how their day went!

GETTING READY

Their wedding day started by them getting ready at the Stone House of St. Charles with their closest friends and when I arrived they were both so relaxed! One thing I loved about their day was the fact that because hair and make up was on time we had plenty of time to get individual pictures of Alison in her beautiful dress. I also captured images of Ryan hanging out with his best guys around a super fun pool table.

FIRST LOOK AND WEDDING PARTY PICTURES

I saw this room off to the side of the girls getting ready space and KNEW that’s where the first look had to happen- lots of bright light and windows with minimal distraction? Yes, please! Both Alison and Ryan’s reactions were great. It was a mixture of tears and laughter and I loved being there to capture it.

CEREMONY AND RECEPTION AT THE STONE HOUSE IN ST. CHARLES

I’d never shot a wedding at the Stone House in St. Charles before this and it was truly beautiful! As the name suggests, it is a beautiful stone building, with upscale, rustic vibes inside. Alison and Ryan chose to do their ceremony outdoors however, braving the heat for a beautiful day!

The reception was in the Stone House which was setup with such cozy vibes- candles and flowers everywhere! On one end of the Stone House, there was a stained glass window that almost gave church like vibes. It was a beautiful night and I’m so glad to have been a part of it!
