Grand Basin engagement session// Galicia and William

Forest park engagement session

Galicia and William had the most beautiful engagement session at Forest Park! Their grand basin engagement session was what dreams are made of. This was the second time we tried to do their engagement session because on their original date it was grey and rainy. But guess what, it was rainy and grey on their reschedule date too so we just decided to go for it and we still made magic! Cloudy days actually have really beautiful lighting- crisp and clear.

The locations (The Muny, Jewel Box, and Grand Basin)

We made multiple stops at Forest Park (the beauty of Forest Park, truly) that gave us so much variety in their session. We started at the jewel box and because it was rainy and grey, NO ONE WAS THERE! There were these purple flowers that beautifully matched Galicia’s outfit and I was obsessed! Then, we went over to the muny and got some fun pictures at the beautiful columns while getting a respite from the rain. A beautiful stork also stopped by to say hello (yes, I took a picture and yes it is down below). We ended at the grand basin which is always a great place to end a session since the sun sets behind the art museum. We made the most of the beautiful architecture and water and had a great time!

Their wedding

These two met while working at the same school, St. Cecilia and they will be getting married at the church there next year. They will also be doing their reception at the piper palm house in Tower Grove park, one of my favorite venues! What I love is that they will be incorporating their Latinx culture into their wedding, which I am SO excited about! William is Colombian and as many of you know, so am I so you could say I’m a little bit excited 🙂 I hope you all enjoy this preview of their engagement session!

All my best,

Sara
